Watch It! – The Real West Wing
How I miss the West Wing! (Thanks to Lori H. for passing this along)
NYT Article Recommendation – Exit the Boy King
I am actually recommending an article by Maureen Dowd.
Here’s a great perspective on the inauguration as 43 exits and 44 enters — then proceeds to rail on Bush in front of an international audience. It’s also the perspective of a born-and-raised D.C. resident, and both viewpoints are interesting to read, even if you don’t agree.

My Company In the News
Despite the economic conditions, Bader Rutter is doing pretty well this year. Plus, the “Bader” of Bader Rutter officially retired, and the company’s management purchased the remaining shares — keeping us a 100% employee-owned company.
Here’s an article in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel about BR, and you’ll get to see pics of the second floor reception area (no shots of me, sorry).
Damn Cold
The high today was -10 degrees, and I might have got frostbite while I fueled up the car. It’s really freaking cold.
Fun with Video
Santa brought me a Flip video camera for Christmas, so please expect video posts every now and then.
For starters: Our first attempt at video. Mom and I sent a Christmas greeting to my Aunt Georgia. We are holding a floral concoction from my mother in law, which was given to her by the florist, given to me by Shirley, given to my Mom by me, given to my Aunt Georgia by my Mom, and given to my Grandmother by everyone. Is it a reindeer? Is it a dog? We don’t know…
Clips from the VanCoevering family Christmas. Did you know butter should be served at 65 degrees?
Why marriage works.
It’s because we’re always there to support each other. I submit this video to you as evidence. Here I am, supporting my husband as he picks up his wallet from Dillon’s (a grocery store) in Arkansas City, Kan., at 11:30 p.m. the night before we were supposed to fly home to Milwaukee.
Christmas in Kansas
We had a great trip home for Christmas. As always, traveling was so much fun. We tried to fly out of O’Hare the day of a blizzard and arrived in Wichita at 2 a.m. where we landed on a sheet of ice, causing the plane to nearly skid off the runway. Good times.
