Work Horse

This weekend, I traveled to the Rolex Three-Day Event in Lexington, Ky. It was my first trip to Lexington, and it was a beautiful place with horses everywhere. The event itself was really cool. The Rolex competition is the only “four-star” event in the United States, and is part of the Grand Slam of eventing, which is similar to the Triple Crown where winning three premier events earns a larger prize.

Each three-day event, features three challenges: dressage (ballet on horseback), the cross-country course that features a long-distance ride with solid jumps, and the jumping event. Here are a few pictures from the cross-country course.

PUPPY!!!!

Posted in Events by Jenny on the April 14th, 2007

Bill (finally) chose a new puppy, and I CAN’T wait to visit. Soooooo cute!!!

See the puppy and Katie.

More puppies.

As a side note, I met some puppies from a coworker a few weeks ago and saw them again yesterday. I sorta forgot about that middle teenager stage between PUPPY and old dog — not such a cute stage.

Cold Crops

Even though we’re in Wisconsin, we still want a crop update. Here are some pictures of James and Kay’s crops after the recent cold snap. Mom braved the unseasonal weather to bring us these pictures we requested. Thanks Mom!!
